ABOUT
THESE VIDEOS Aurora Replays
are short, downloadable videos showing the natural motion
of auroras using time-lapse digital photography. Created
by James Pugsley of Yellowknife, Canada, this footage
is used to monitor geomagnetic activity in Earth's upper
atmosphere. For more information or to request a hi-resolution

As the Earth rotates, the auroral oval is perfectly positioned
above Yellowknife between midnight and 1:30 a.m., which means
the lights often make an appearance over the city even if
activity levels are low.
